Brake Pad / Rotor Matching
When selecting high performance brake rotors, make sure you use a performance brake pad. Street pads that are not designed for high speed temperatures will disintegrate and over heat or warp your new rotors. Never use partially worn pads on new rotors. The mismatched contact surfaces will require hundreds of miles to seat to the flat machined surface of the new rotors. During this seating-in time, the limited contact area will create hot spots on your rotors, which may result in warpage.
