PROMINI Cooper S at One Lap of America![]() Each year dozens of participants from around the country to enter a race that essentially tests both drivers and vehicles of their performance, reliability and endurance levels. The rules are pretty simple. Since there is a classification for just about every type of vehicle, you can enter whatever you want as long as you can legally drive it on the street. You will not only race the car in 19 events located at 10 of the most exciting race courses in America, the drivers are also required to drive the car within a specific time frame from track to track. This means after a grueling day at each track, the drivers and co-drivers get to pack up all your belongings and head down the highway to make it to the next track on the schedule in time for the mornings event. As far as support vehicles, that's pretty simple also, you get to bring what ever you can fit inside your race car. This is a series where you need your driver to also be a mechanic, and you need a great parts supply source for quick trackside deliveries. Well this year's PROMINI sponsored Cooper S was co-driven by Stu Sacks and Roy Hopkins of Rochester New York. The team driving a PROMINI modified Cooper S took an impressive 2nd place in class in this years One Lap Race.
